TH October tag

Happy Halloween everyone!
I finally managed to make my
tag for October.

In the Netherlands we do not celebrate Halloween
and as October is also Breat Cancer awareness month
I made a pink ribbon tag.

You can see Tim's October tag here:

For my pink tag I used some light and
darker pink acrylic paints and the new
gold distress stain to color my tag.

The letters are cardboard you can buy
as an alphabeth, real sturdy. I colored them with
acrylic paint and added som rock candy on top.

The body form is first painted with gold
distress stain and embossed with victoran velvet
distress embossing powder.
(sorry, made a mistake! It is  tattered rose
embossing powder.)

Technique Junkie's Birthday Month Blog Hop

Did you arrive here  by hopping from
Jane's Blog with her amazing project to my Craftchaos?
Yes, then you are in the right spot to
celebrate with us the 10 year anniversary

Te AWESOME Pat Huntoon started a newsletter with
technique tutorials online 10 years ago
and is celebrating this with a whole month
of give-aways on her blog.
But today Pat and her design team have
a special blog hop and wonderful prize:

if you leave a comment on every blog,
you can become a guest designer
for the next Technique Junkie Newsletter!!!

Now on to some of the wonderful techniques
you can find in the newsletters.

One of my all time favourite techniques
is IRISFOLDING
and I found this spooky free template
The irisfolding technique was in the
first newsletter in October 2002.
And the background is stamped
in a scenic technique from
newsletter August 2009.
The stamps and dies I have used for this
card are Michael Strong's Halloween stamps
and dies. The sentiment is by Stampin'Up!
I am a Junkie for a long time and I love trying
out all the new techniques and sometimes
even think of one myself. Hope you enjoy
the hope. Don't forget to leave a comment
to win a guest designer's spot.
And now........
hop on to
with her fantastic art work!
 Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrappage: Halloween

Today I have a scrap page for you with the new
Halloween stamps and dies by Michael Strong.

The paper is by Club Scrap (different kits) and
the sentiment is by Create with TLC.

And the pictures are of course my grandson Owen,
who is already 3,5 months old and doing great.

Here you see more of the stamped work
and if you click on the photo, you
will see an even larger version.

The spider web border is a Martha Steward punch
that i used on some black paper to make the border and glued
to the background. The siders are punched out
with the new Halloween dies by Michael Strong
amd colored with a silver gelpen to give it
some glitz. The "boo!"is an old stamp by SU!.

More Halloween inspiration

Hi!
Are you getting ready for Halloween?
Need some more card inspiration?
Well, with
new Halloween goodies
it is so wonderful to make some easy cards.
For card 1 and 2 I punched out a circle,
that I used to sponge the background first
with distress inks. First sponge the moon,
than cover the moon with the punched out circle to
color the rest of the background.

The owl and the sentiment are by Stampin'Up!

And for card #3 I found inspiration and a great
video tutorial here:

It is an easy to fold accordeon card.
You need an 8,5 x 11 inch black piece of cardstock
for the card (you can make 2 out of it) and some pieces
of fun halloween scrappaper for decoration.
I used the brim of the 3 hats as a closure for the front,
Just for fun, you do not need to do this.

.
As today is world card making day
I just have to share some cards with you.
Just received the new Halloween stamps
and dies by Michael Strong.
So as Halloween is creeping up on us,
I made you to cards and hope your are
inspired.
For this one I punched out the cats
and stuck them to a stamped background with
foam tape. I gave the cats gemstone eyes.
And here is one like it, but done with the  dies
bird and also a stamped background.
For both cards I uses the tree stamp of
