Happy Leap Day!

Only once in 4 years we have this
extra day in Febuary. I had some fun projects last time and
you might want to take a look HERE,
but of course I had to make something for
today too.I used the sketch from the
It is a fun and easy sketch and today
is the last day I can enter.

I also want to enter theis card for the
with the frog challenge.

For this card I used Stampin'Up!'s Playful Pals.
A fun stampset for making animals.
The sentiment is from another SU! set called  Hello
(one of the SAB sets of this year you get free
if you spend a certain amount on stamps until March 15).
The design paper is also SU! but not a current
paper blockand the flower is from my stash.

The sentiment is embossed in black,so it pops up more.
The lily leave I cut by hand after drawing it first with pencil.

Wishing everyone whos had a real birthday today
an exceptional wonderful day!

Make it a creative day!

Club Scrap February Artist Challenge

Here is the Club Scrap Artist Team again.
This time we have some stamping fun for you
with a wonderful stampset called:

We have created a blog hop to give you ideas as what to
do with these stamps. So I hope you have seen
with her wonderful projects for you.
Here you see all the stamps of the UM Weathered Florals
and I came up with a scrapbook page and a card for you.
and a creative idea to use your scraps! Don'tyou have
a box fulof left over papers from different kits?
Well I used them to make this scrap page:
You want to know how?
Welli started with picking up a few papers and lay them on the table.
Puzzeled them together to make a 12x12 inch scrap page.
Then took some washi tape to tape all the pieces together.

As you never have exactly a 12 x 12 inch page
there was a little cutting needed.
Now to make it all come together I first used
some gesso all over the page. Not to heavy, just a light touch.

When the gesso was dry, I used shabby shutter distress in
on top of it.Let it dry (this dries very quick!).

Next I took some stencils out and chrushed olive distress spray
and used this stencilin several spots.
and another stencilwith vintage photo distress spray..
Take the heat gun and dry.

And now some stamping with the largest stamp and
black ink on top of everything I stamped a few times.

Here is the result.
Now to find some pictures and decorate the page.
(The woodsie word is from the Crewel & Unusual kit).

For this I had made a few little cards with stamps and stencils,
just like I did with the scrap page.

SoI played around with the photo'sand cards until
I was satisfied with the lay out.
The banners on the page are also the scaps that I had
cut of to make the 12 x 12 inch page. So today: no scraps left!

And here is my card:

I used a piece of left over Crewel & Unusual paper
in combination with the Weathered Flower stamps.

I cut the front of the card in an angle like this.

Then from some green left over paper I cut a few leaves.

Glued the leaves right up to the topof the slanted
line of the front of the card.

Next  I stamped the large flower in the gelato technique:
wet your stamp a little with water and color your
stamp with gelatos and stamp. It gives the image
a wonderful shimmer.

Here a close up of the flower border. For this birthday
card I added a few blingy gemstones in the heart of the flower.

Well, this is what I have for you,but thereis more.
For this you have to hop on to
and see what wonderful things she has for you.

Sunday scrap page: #1 movie

In the middle of the night (between Sunday and Monday) for
us here in Europ the Oscars will be held.I will be sleeping
and see all the fun in the morning. Meanwhile I have made a
movie themed scrap page with various Club Scrap kits
and some Michael Strong stamps.

I used some cut aparts from the movie themed kit
and the alphabet and number stamps from Michael Strong.

The woodsie on the movie real was in the Club Scrap
February kit. I made this movie real with a die from Sizzix.
The red circles are cut with a spellbinder die and the gold
embossed stars are stamps by Michael Strong.

I wish all off you who are watching lots of fun
at the Oscars.
Have a creative day!

i {heart} sketch 140 again: Friendship

Hello,
here I am again with the card sketch for
for I forgot I had to use one of
their digital images and so I
made this card with their lovely
Friendship set (of course with coffee!)
As you can see the card sketch also has a twist:
you can do the sketch or make a shaped card.
This time Idid both. I found an image of a coffee cup
and enlarged it for a card size.
Here is the image, you might like to use it too:
Just save the image with you right mouse button
to your own computer and feel free to use it for your card.

The sweet girl is colored with pencil and her dress is a piece
of the background design paper..

Thank you for looking and
 have a lovely Sunday.
